We Drank Gutenberg's Kool-aid

On this week’s episode we visited Larry Thompson the master printer at the Bookarts lab located in Carleton University’s library. He showed us how to do letterpress printing, the process Larry used to produce seven books in 13 years! We talk Gutenberg, the stereotypical personality of a printer, favourite fonts and the joys of working slowly. If you want to get involved in the Bookarts lab you can join the Canadian Bookbinders and Book Artists Guild, become sponsored by a professor, or email larry.thompson@carleton.ca.
