"times such as these" Even while having been fully aware of T. and MAGA beforehand, I remain repeatedly flabbergasted by how vengeful and mean today's administration is. Lacking in both international know-how and manners, and of course owned by Russia and American oligarchs. But mostly vengeful and mean.

Backlash *is* building, if only because a) some of their MAGA folks are realizing T's a fucking liar and doesn't give a hoot about them; b) pretty much all parameters of their economy are, understandably, going down; oh, there's also c): erstwhile partners (us, sure, but India, China etc.) are rearranging their own relations around the USA. Anyway. I know not the future. But T has been a MUCH worse threat than I ever imagined.

Benoit, Although difficult I do maintain hope. Not that there has been any great evidence but yes the backlash is building. Open question as to whether it makes a difference. let's hope so.
