Next Steps is a collaborative project of CKCU-FM and the Pinecrest-Queensway Community Health Centre's Together We Can Program, offering a weekly radio program by and for Black youth, exploring life after high school, and access to higher education. Our host sits down with Yanaminah Thullah: community developer, DEI consultant, public speaker, housing data analyst and project manager and artist. In this episode, Yanaminah talks about properly managing your time in a fast-paced -work environment, and how to value rest, rather than see it as a weakness in a post-high school career. Yanaminah also talks about her upcoming exhibit at the Ottawa Art Gallery, ‘We do not dream of labour’, from July 27th - Sept 10th. Funding for the project has been provided by the Ontario Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services and Pathways to Education Canada.
