Paul Hayden Desser was born on February 12, 1971, in Thornhill, Ontario, Canada. Hayden is known for his introspective lyrics, unique vocal style, and his ability to blend folk, indie rock, and alternative influences in his music. "The Closer I Get" (1998) is his sophomore record. Kilometre Club’s Daniel Field describes himself as someone “who has entirely too much time on his hands”. However, this abundance of time has allowed him to create some of the most interesting ambient and electronic music coming out of Canada. His band camp site includes 40 releases since 2020!
