Glenn Milchem picks The Natural Bridge by The Silver Jews. Part 1

Most of us know Glenn Milchem as the drummer from Blue Rodeo a band he joined in 1992 after cutting his teeth with Groovy Religion, The Plasterscene Replicas, Vital Sines, and of course, as the drummer on Change of HEart’s Smile. He joins us today to discuss his pick of The Natural Bridge, the 1996 album from the Silver Jews. Ostensibly David Berman’s second album. Berman was a reluctant indie “star” who had a tortured life and career, and ultimately died from suicide in on August 7th 2019.
