OPIRG / No Borders - Alternative start to the school year

A discussion about OPIRG / No Borders - With Carmel Whittle and Ulyn Berkley Gaskin and Nina Tamara Barbosa Ponce. OPIRG is OPIRG-GRIPO traces its roots back to the founding of Public Interest Research Groups (PIRGs) by Ralph Nader in 1971. At the University of Ottawa, our PIRG was established through a student referendum on November 10, 1977, with overwhelming support from over 75% of student voters. Officially opening its doors in the Fall of 1978, OPIRG Ottawa quickly became a hub for activism on campus. It's Mandate is “To bring together and build upon a broad-based community dedicated to social, economic and environmental justice. OPIRG – is concerned with the contribution that students, the university and the community can make towards social change”. https://opirg-gripo.ca/about-opirg/#who To Contact me - SongsForTheRevolution@ckcufm.com
