Akumal - Jack and Lori's Special Occasion in Mexico

Part of today's show was recorded in Akumal Mexico, a very special occasion, I had the honour of attending which was Jack Courville and Lori Ryan's wedding. You'll hear a little taste of the music we experienced this week. Jack Courville has been a huge supporter of Ottawa Musicians and Jack and Lori have been big supporters of charities, both local and abroad, including the "Wakefield Community Emergency Fund" and the "Elephant Nature Park" where they volunteered. While I was in Akumal, I had the chance to speak to someone about the Mexican culture and how the people of Mexico are recovering from the pandemic. The Image used for today's show is a hopeful one. Here is the description provided of it : This magnificent work of art, represents man in his eternal communion with the elements, animals and plants, existing in harmony with nature. In the ancient cultures of Mexico, corn (maize) was considered a sacred plant, which symbolized the kindness of the universe toward man in providing him with sustenance. The intent of "IXIM" is to awaken in human beings an awareness of the fact that they are only cells of a living being called "Earth", which will only survive if it attains harmony.
