Save Hunt Club Forest - Carol Howard Donati

The Airport Authority is continuing to try and turn the Hunt Club Forest in to a Parking Lot. I update you on what is happening on that front, as well as the war on the Palestinians in Gaza. On today's show, we revisit the No Borders Festival and my discussion with Carmel and Ulyn and my exclusive interview with Multi Disciplinary Artist and Film-maker Carol Howard Donati who had 2 beautiful Nature based documentaries on display at No Borders. The films were a collaboration with Ottawa Based Teacher Beverley McKiver. She is a member of the Seul First Nation in Treaty Three. Beverly explores themes of connection to the land, identity, and recovery of Indigenous knowledge through her compositions for singers, instrumental ensembles and solo piano. Carol speaks about her most recent project called "Echoes from this Land", which is a collaboration with McMaster University, that is connecting Art to the 94 calls to action for Truth and Reconciliation. It is something you can get involved with if you're interested.
