Later this month there is some great "Songs for the Revolution" coming up at 2 important shows.. one at Club Saw on Jan. 22nd. Two Indigenous Acts - Aysanabee and Ruby Waters are doing a double bill, starts at 8 - $25. The other act is this month's Girls to the Front act at Irene's Pub the following week, Wednesday January 25th, hosted by Julie Corrigan with EniiD and Susan O, this will be a special Songwriter's Circle with these 3 talented, accomplished local songwriters. On this week's show, I'll feature some of that music, we've got some Hakeem Jeffries from the House floor of the US Congress and we touch on British Columbia's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People's Act.
