At the end of the show, I mention that next week's show will be "A Salute to Nora Guthrie" on the occasion of her retirement after 33 years directing the Woody Guthrie Archives and Woody Guthrie Publications. That program will now be heard on July 16. Next week's show will be "Remembering Kinky Friedman." Kinky passed away on June 27 at age 79.

Looking forward to both of those show. I must admit, I don't know much of Nora Guthrie's work, and I'm a little short on Kinky, but I do know of them both.

Rolling Stones, route 66. NOT As Tears Go By. Only by the Caretaker of Folk: Mike Regenstref. Always amazed of how sometimes the songs take a "strange" turn. Pun intended! Bravo! Then again, who am I to complain, not having listened to the Drinking Songs playlist yet. Cheers!

Thanks Robert. BTW, The Stones' version of As Tears Go By, only came out in 1965 on December's Children. I had a lot of fun doing this theme so I'll do 1965 next year. Maybe As Tears Go By will make that show (if I don't use Satisfaction).
