Creative Convos pt II with Sarah Crookall + music from Doga Erbek, Daze Culture + a showcase of some of our favourite labels mixed by Luk Follin
We're kicking this episode off with a new regular series from our contributor, Sarah Crookall with a segment called Creative Convos.
This weeks topic is: Creativity And Mental Illness: Do Artists Suffer More? From Beethoven to Lady Gaga history is full of examples of artists with mental illness. However research on the link between creativity and mental illness didn't start until the 1970s. This topic is perfect grounds for a creative debate because while some evidence suggests artists do suffer more from mental illness, other think linking it to creativity does more harm than good. What do you think? Are you a creative person with a mental illness, like depression or bipolar disorder? What have you noticed, and would are you okay with making the connection? Share the in comments below and #jointheconversation. If you feel the need to talk to someone regarding mental illness feel free to leave a comment. Don't forget to check out other creative debates, like this one here: https://youtu.be/TQ8Xtv1DsHU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLTtuJ7zsC0 |
