The playlist was partly taken/inspired by Laina Dawes and her book, 'A Black Woman's Life and Liberation in Heavy Metal - What Are You Doing Here?'. I'll play music by some of the artists she included in her playlist at the end of her book and read excerpts from her book throughout the show.
