Earthgauge Radio: How to Thrive and Survive in the Age of Climate Change

Every two weeks on Tuesdays at noon, alternating with OPIRG Roots Radio, we take a closer look at the climate change crisis but perhaps not in the way you might think. Yes, we cover the science and the politics of dealing with what might be the most serious challenge humanity has ever faced. But we also take a closer look at the question of how we arrived at this historical moment in the first place.

What went wrong to lead us to the point at which we could be risking the stability of our civilization? And what would the world, society, our economy look like if and when we find our way out of this mess?

One thing’s for sure, the future will not be anything like the world today. We are facing a New World Disorder. Either it will be a world severely disrupted by climate chaos or it will be a world transformed into something much better, much healthier, more equitable, less driven the pursuit of power, greed, debt and endless consumption, and with an entirely different idea of what prosperity and "progress" look like. A world in which we can thrive and survive.
