Santana: At Aged 20, Michael Shrieve, the band's drummer, was the youngest musician to play at the festival. It is rumored that Santana replaced Chicago Transit Authority (Chicago) who was unable to play due to a concert that that switched around. Leaving promoter Bill Graham with a phone call helping the anxious Woodstock promoters. Playing a couple shows, this was a chance to expose Santana to the United States and gave a memorizing performance. A couple weeks later, their first album would be released.
