James Bissett on concerns over the rise of racism-driven crimes around the world

On Friday, Nov 21, 2014, the UN General Assembly’s Third Committee passed a Russia-proposed resolution condemning attempts to glorify Nazism ideology by 115 votes, against three, with 55 nations abstaining. Canada, the USA and Ukraine voted against the resolution. What is the significance of the resolution ? Why would Canada vote against it and does its voting have anything to do with the Nazi elements that are very influential in the current Kiev government? To find out "Monday's Encounter" is joined by: James Bissett - Former Executive Director, Canadian Immigration Service and former Canadian Ambassador with 36 years of service in the government of Canada. Mr. will be visiting Moscow mid December, 2014. https://www.fraserinstitute.org/author.aspx?id=14588&txID=2490
