Bytowne, Cineplex, Mayfair - three theatres showing three movies that open todays edition of Movie Mondays. Bel Canto (2018) the tale of an opera singer held hostage hits a flat note. The Suspiria (2018) remake sends Mike into a frenzy. Take it out in Trade (1970) a porno-comedy by Ed Wood that was recently restored and is an absolute hoot. Luckily, if none of those sound like your thing you can always watch a classic like Yojimbo (1961). Afterwords we get into the interview with Spanish born American Screenwriter-Director Eva Vives to talk about the film All About Nina (2018) that covers difficulties of women in the entertainment industry, using trauma to write stories and the difficulties of shooting. Mike and Josh quickly share their thoughts on the film and Josh talks about how exciting alt-comedy is.
