This edition begins with back-to-back Jackie. Two films that go big Jackie Chan's exciting adventure film Kung Fu Yoga (2017) and Natalie Portman's Oscar worthy performance in Jackie (2016). Then Mike and Josh continue on the Road to the Oscars by discussing Martin Scorsese's Silence (2016) it's many readings and it's place in Scorsese's filmography. The two finish off with Jean-Pierre Melville's excellent religious romance Leon Morin, Priest (1961) comparing it's depiction of conversion to the one in Silence.
Dedicated to the Memory of Emmanuelle Riva, star of Leon Morin, Priest. Riva is known for Hiroshima mon Amour (1959) by Alain Resnais another giant of French Cinema and Amour (2012), for which she won the BAFTA for Best Actress.
