Thank you for staying up with me tonight on this Easter Sunday morning. Always doing our best to entertain you with great music early on your Sunday mornings... which I hope you are enjoying the After Hours show so far on CKCU 93.1FM. Only a few months in but I hope you are enjoying the program so far.
This morning featuring Shirley Brown, Brook Benton, Michael Jackson, Maze and Gregory Abbott. Also, from the world of Hip Hop, one of the greatest Hip Hop groups of our time lost one of their members and we all lost a great lyricist and member of the legendary group, A Tribe Called Quest. So to end off the show tonight in the last 30 mins or so... we switch gears and pay tribute and our respects to Phife Diggy from A Tribe Called Quest.
These songs bring back such great memories during, in my opinion, one of the richest era's in the world of Hip Hop to date. Saying farewell to The 5 Foot Assassin... thank you for the music and for blessing us with your talent. You grew up as a Christian so to Jah you give thanks.. and we do also for the time that you were here.
Thank you to Phife and ATCQ.
Rest in peace my brother.
I hope you will join me again, next Sunday morning at 12:01am for another episode of After Hours, here on CKCU The Mighty 93.1FM.

An anonymous request for another MJ tune tonight. This one from the album "Off The Wall". Which had many hits.. "Rock With You" being my favorite. Anyhow, this is "that song" where Michael begins to stumble towards the end. I wonder what or who was running through his mind when he sang this song?!!??? "She's Out Of My Life" by request here on CKCU 93.1FM. Thank you for your request and thank you for staying up with me this Sunday morning. |
