Sigiriya (UNESCO World Heritage Site, Sri Lanka): Some Research-based Insights of Priyantha Wijeweera; Host – Sinhalese Rhythm radio program, CKCU Radio, Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada Date of Publication: November 17, 2015 1. The term “Sigiriya Mirror-Wall Graffiti” should be more meaningfully re-phrased as “The Compendium of Lyrical Abstracts of the Journal of Sigiriya Mirror-Wall”. 2. After the Kashyapa-era, Sigiriya was transformed into an independent institute of intellectual gatherings. 3. Kashyapa did not build the Sigiriya Mirror-Wall; instead, it was a later addition. 4. Sigiri-songs deciphered from the Mirror-Wall were sung with infusion of music, before their abstracts were published on the Mirror-Wall. At least some of the damsels in the Sigiri frescos may be ardent entertainers, of the ancient Sigiriya showbiz. 5. The Sigiriya water-garden was landscaped, as an integral component of a colorful botanical garden. 6. The Sigiriya summit was used by ancient astrologers, for sky-studies. Please let me know your criticism about my views. Thanks!
