Pastel Waves Vol.2: Another Yacht-Rock and Marina-Pop, Afternoon Cruise
Marina-Pop returns with another set of carefully docked grooves — a twilight blend of shimmering synths, tender falsettos, and that unmistakable sense of sea breeze cool. While classic Yacht-Rock of the late ’70s and early ’80s sailed with the likes of Toto and Steely Dan, Marina-Pop is its sun-kissed descendant — taking the ease and polish of those FM radio melodies and layering in neon-lit nostalgia and nu-disco sparkle.
This show stretches the shoreline just a little wider: drifting into Alt-R&B, Indie Electronica, and Bedroom Funk, but always anchored in the velvety waters of groove and emotional shimmer, these songs all know what it means to ride the current of a vibe.
