Heart Attack and Vine was my door into Tom's canon. I just keep going deeper. He's extraordinary.

Hitting a lot of my all time fave artists, Anne-Marie !!! Well done! The Tim Curry track was new to me, but within the first minute I had flagged that irreplaceable Rough Trade vibe. Very sweet!! Can never have enough Tom Waits in the world! And the coup........following Talking Heads with Tom Tom Club should always be mandatory lol. Great show today.

Cool show today! i expect we probably have a LOT of overlaps in our various record collections (A-M and other likely suspects here). Distracted in-and-out listen "live" will move to OnDement late-night later. Maybe add some comments/requests then. Gotta go!

Waaay after the fact late listen OnDement... But Yes, Wreckless Erik is UK, but seen live in T.O. Danger pit. The Government was an art-punk band in Toronto scene around the same time (mid-late 70s), tunes like Flat Tire, Get You While You're Sleeping. More, similar era, Toronto: - Carole Pope / Rough Trade (punky, very overt Lesbian) - Michaele Jordana & The Poles (another dangerous pit ... saw her *kick* a dude off the stage ... literally) - Martha and the Muffins (at Ontario College Of Art, well before they got famous-ish) - Teenage Head (LOUDEST *&%# EVER) - Streetband / A Little Bit Of Toast (ok, not T.O., same part of the pile non-the-less) ROIT, enough pester, go get me some toast now....
