What is Diaspora? Who has or can have a diasporic identity? I've got Professor Sarah Waisvisz in to explain what diaspora is and why it's important. When we live in such a globalized world our cultural and ethnic identity can be difficult to determine. Perhaps your family is from Africa, you were born in the Caribbean and is currently a Canadian citizen, for example. One's identity is not so simple.
