Thursday September 18th, 2025 with Doug Bird
Lots of songs to play. Scattered in there somewhere will be some chatter. All about music. As it should always be on a music show. The Stones will begin and Earl Slick will finish things off about 58 minutes later. Nothing about cars or hamburgers.

Rod at his best. Jeff showing everyone how it's done. Doesn't get any better than that.

Love hearing that early Bowie cut from "The Man Who Sold The World" album. I imagine those more challenging, chaotic tracks are what perked up a young Cobain's ear. A sound that would later become known as "Glam." So nice hearing those deep cuts over the airwaves. I see some "Earl Slick" on the Playlist too...keeping it in the family!

Never got to see Mick Ronson live with Bowie. That sucks. Did see Earl Slick who was great with Bowie.

Re Rod, he remained pretty solid, for me, in his first three 'own name' albums. The he started getting more and more elvissey, so to speak...

That's amazing! I'm a huge fan but never got a chance to see Bowie. Do you recall what year you got to see them? Bowie knew how to pick interesting players: Mick, Earl, Robert Fripp, Adrian Belew, Stevie Ray Vaughn, David Torn, and Reeves Gabrels to name just a few. What a list!

Ah yes, he brought Earl back around the time the album "Reality" came out. I've seen some live clips online from that era, and looks like an incredibly tight live band. You saw Tin Machine too?! That was such an interesting spin off. Very cool!
