Beatles fan here: V. Fudge was always vague, y'know, rough? This version (first hearing) seems indeed vague, ?self-complacent?, excessive and uncareful, but... ...isn't that what the ethos of the band was, not that they ever used the word "ethos"? (And I don't use those other bad adjectives meanly.)
