Time to stay indoors until May. Figured Humble Pie would warm things up a bit.

The wiki sez: "Also in 1971, Humble Pie released their most successful album to date, Rock On, as well as a live album recorded at the Fillmore East in New York entitled Performance: Rockin' the Fillmore. The live album reached No. 21 on the US Billboard 200 and was certified gold by the RIAA. "I Don't Need No Doctor" became an FM radio standard in the US, peaking at No. 73 on the Billboard Hot 100 and propelling the album up the charts."

Yup. The next sentence after my previous quotation: "By the time of the album's release, Frampton had left the band and went on to enjoy success as a solo artist. "

Man, some of them classic rock songs sound so good--especially when you don't listen to classic rock stations.

That's because we have great sound here at CKCU. We don't compress the heck out of the sound.

An' Zep had SUCH a lead singer, who sang around, over and under the music. And what a great screamer.

Yes to the (host) :) and, you curate, with 'variety', so good, thank you

True. Also, Doug, you guys will play the whole LP version of a track ("I Don't Need No Doctor"), not simply a radio cut.

My last comment (the whole track) is actually what I missed most, then moment CHEZ almost instantly went from 'freeform radio' to classic rock. Like in '76 or something.

then moment = the moment

Hey Doug, a question: is "Criclewood Green" Circlewood Green? I suspect but don't feel like checking.
