Hey Doug......could you pull some Albert Collins out of the vault one of these weeks.. He is another great player that Dennis Ruffo brought into The Paradise Club 3 or 4 times and he just "smoked" the place !!!! Saw him every time; I was lucky to have worked the club from day 1 til the final show. So many, many greats; lost track of how many times Wilcox played there. Good times.........

One hot August night, when doors were wide open, I lucked upon Albert Collins playing at The Penguin on Elgin Street. Walking up and down the aisle stretching the strings on his cordless Telecaster, grinning like nothing you've seen, having a great old time. Heard and saw him play so close that we talked a bit (he told me he never known that many fancy chords, but had really earned to stretch those strings -- and laughed) man, how great! I think it was about a year an a bit later that I learned he'd passed (Fall '93). I thought again about how lucky I'd been.

Benoit..I was at that show at The Penguin ! Many good times in that place were had and eternal in my memory banks. Albert was absolutely "one of a kind"; like he was playing to save his life.......every tune of every show. And what a showman !!!!!!!
