Losing Jeff will always feel sad, Doug. One of a kind. When I feel sad, I pull out my DVD of Live at Ronnies. At his very best. And that is also the show he did at Bluesfest. Forget that prodigy bass player's name. She was remarkable !!!!!!!!!

It's actually not all that bad outside. Maybe minus 6 and a bit of sun. So... Yesterday, it was maybe -16 and windy. I went for a bike ride. Y'know, to keep in shape. Didn't last long: ten minutes out, I thought "this is a bit crazy", turned around and rode home. Was happy to hit the heat.

Just recovering from the tears listening to Dylan's greatest gem. What a masterpiece of simplicity. Perhaps the greatest love song in history!! Thanks again, Doug. And go buy Live at Ronnies. It'[s a who';s who sitting in the audience at that show too. Fun

Lay Lady Lay ... heard it a lot in the past BUT today it was like I was hearing it for the first time ... Such song writing!!! You are right about that!

Lisa P. His lyrics are like watching a really good movie.

AMAZING! I recognised this song at the very first guitar strum. Amzing how "thumbprinty" music can be. And it's got a nice rise in it.

Also, this is much clearer than the 45s at the time...

Noticed that too, Benoit ... the percussion on Lay Lady Lay was another great thing to listen to in that song today. THX, Doug!

Benoit. Yes. Original singles were poorly mixed as Pete Townshend said 'cause people had only crappy car radios and "stereo" record players.
