Presnt! Magma's 'Tristan and Iseult' LP! Out Of Focus' 2nd LP (1971)!

Well, the New Year has Begun, and, while I've never been one to do a 'year in Retrospect'-type show, it was at least time to trot out some new purchaes from the Holidays, starting out with Univers Zero-members side-project, 'Present'. Then a quick travel through some Nomeansno to some Live material from The Band Whose Name is a Symbol to prepare us for 'The Big Feature': a listen to the entirety of Christian Vander (might as well face it - it's a Magma release under his name)'s 1974 soundtrack effort 'Tristan and Iseult' a.k.a. 'Wurdah Itah'. Then a listen to some of the music from Kraut-rock's brilliant, but obscure Out Of Focus and their 2nd, self-titled LP. In the end I was in the mood for some serious lengthy guitar-histrionic jams, and Mountain and the Allman Brothers filled the bill just nicely. Welcome, 2012!
