Haven't done a blast of serious noise in a long time, so I knew I had to start out in the LOUD vein, but where from there? Well, I have long been a fan of Blue Őyster Cult despite having a stronger attraction to Punk and 'out' sounds (I bought my 1st B.Ő.C LP more than 30 years ago, and cut my teeth drumming to them); in fact, I consider the 1st 3 B.Ő.C LPs to be some of the most creative 'commercial rock' ever perpetrated. So, I picked up my favourite (Tyranny and Mutation), and thus a feature was born. After that, it was only a matter of picking some songs as stepping-stones to the trippier side of life, until I finally get to the side-long improv-acoustic piece by Hapshash and the Coloured Coat. Variety is what we likes on The Nightwatch!!
