New Garaga LP! New Mark McIntyre tracks! Tasavallan Presidentti!

Funding drive is over, and we made the goal, plus a bit of a margin! To echo last week: many, many thanks to those who contributed! To be worthy of the pledges is the key, so I put my best foot forward in the form a a 'scoop' - a feature on the brand new record from local heros Garaga. Also had on hand a few brand tracks (awesome, IMHO) from Ottawa ex-patriot Mark McIntyre. After that, we hit some acoustic tracks, then, after a brief psychedelic interlude with a couple of tracks each from Hapshash and the Coloured Coat and and early Trad Gras och Stenar LP, we ease into the prog and jazz-rock section with Demon Fuzz and Miss Beastly and Soft Machine (what jazz-rock set is complete with out them?). After a 2-track feature on Finnish jazz-influence prog record 'Milky Way Moses' by Tasavallan Presidentti, the Nightwatch finishes on a side-long cut from Ex-Van Der Graff frontman Peter Hammill's 'K' project from the 80's. And thus ends a Nightwatch I think is worthy of the Funding drive pledges!
