Stsarting out the Nightwatch with a 'Twofer', where we look at the works of only two bands. The concept here has worked out to these three functional properties: "Power Trio"; "Instrumental"; "From Paris, Île-de-France" . The first, AutorYno - are they jazz-rock? Punk? Math/noise/jazz? They've been called all these things. As an aside, we foray into a Chant Records release featuring the guitarist of AutorYno, David Konopnicki, The second, Aluk Todolo - are they Occult Rock? Psychedelic Rock? Krautrock? Doom Metal? Once again, they've been categorized as all these things... but I think they both rise above all genre classifications. In the 2nd half of the show, we have some solo work from Peter Bardens (pre-Camel) and Ginger Baker (post-Cream), some bands that never released anything during their life-span (Armada), and even a few 'new' things (Badge Epoque Ensemble, Banquet of the Spirits).
