Kebnekajse! Brian Shankar Adler! UROK!

Layin' back for a relaxed dose of Krampus-Community Radio for the festive sneezin'! A Couple of Short features and a whole lot of Merry Miscellany.
Starting out doing an atypically gentle transition from Black and Blue to the Nightwatch with some John Mayall, then a lengthy instrumental track from a solo LP from ex-Free Guitarist Paul Kossoff, who passed shortly after releasing this LP in '73.
So Hard To Share

Now off the blues-rock and diving into a little of the British 60's sound, but finish with O-town sound in the 2000's.....

Now a few cuts from Swedish prog band called Kebnekajse - they existed for a time in the 70's... disappeared... and then started releasing LP's again in 2009, starting with this one - a remarkably strong comeback, IMHO....

It seems my progression towards jazz is getting whittled down to a track or two... the space-rock/heaviness has taken over. One more track, then we'll try to get a little more 'in the groove'

Fourth Dimension is percussionist/composer Brian Shankar Adler’s seventh record as a leader, and offers listeners an album of compositions rooted in Adler’s own spiritual upbringing in an ashram. Joined by some of New York’s top improvisers – Matt Moran, Jonathan Goldberger, Rob Jost, and Santiago Leibson – the group weaves through peaceful and radioactive terrain with ease and style.

In Fourth Dimension, Adler invokes an inner world and musical language where surreal landscapes and symmetrical structures are created using textless mantras, disintegrating drones, mind-bending polyrhythms, and encrypted messages.

ŪROK is the brainchild of Croatian-born drummer and composer Marco Quarantotto. Now based in London, Quarantotto is an active member of city’s jazz, experimental and world music scenes, working with English musicians including Robert Mitchell, Julia Biel, Mornington Lockett and others as well as international artists including Erin Dickins (Manhattan Transfer) and Knoel Scott (Sun Ra Arkestra). Drawing on avant-jazz, post noise rock and experimental music, Quarantotto and bandmates (Filippo Ferazzoli on guitar and effects and Luigi Casanova on bass) stretch these influences with the raw energy and power of a full throttle live show.
