Rhyton! Eskaton! Clark-Hutchinson!

A General, all-round mix tonight, starting out with the new LP from Rhyton, finishing with the hard-to-find 1969 debut LP of psych/raga-rock from obscure brits Clark-Hutchinson.
Managed to hook into Brooklyn’s Rhyton (Dave Shuford, Jimy SeiTang, and Rob Smith) anf their 5th LP, 'Red Shift'. Definitely well-travelled musicians, the trio honed their skills in projects like No-Neck Blues Band (Shuford), Pigeons (Smith), and Stygian Stride (SeiTang).

Now on to a surprise find at the Record Convention - Q-Prog band Dionysos' 1st LP from '71, for a decent price.

Sitting firmly back in the early '70's - starting out in Britain for Blues-rock obscurities T.2, and then moving to Germany for something from an early effort by Nektar.

Back to a newer release, a track from Japanese psychsters The Silence (featuring Masaki Batoh (guitar, vocals) from Ghost!).

Contraction - S/T Canadian
Tacked a track from Q-Prog-band Contractions's 1st LP from 1972 after the Silence track - 'contracted' at the Record-Con, my copy's a bit rough, but sounds a lot better after a thorough cleaning. Now onto a rarity re-issued: French band Eskaton's 2nd LP from '81

Back to the instrumental guitar-bass-drum histrionics from the 2011 release from Dane band Papir!
Tuesday #2
Papir - Stundum
Final installment (except for one LP I'm saving for play on Funding Drive), and perhaps the goldmine-find, of purchases from the Record Convention - a full-album feature of the 1st LP from Clark Hutchinson, featuring Andy Clark (vocals, keyboards), Mick Hutchinson (guitar), who previously played in Sam Gopal, then went on to much more complex band UPP. This is Brit Raga-rock at it's best. A little low-fi, but worthy!
