Minute! Ville Émard Blues Band s'en vient / Is Coming!!

It was planned that I would do a couple of sets from the rest of the LPs that I got from the Record-Con.... but I happened across Ville Emard Blues Band's 1st LP (the real 1st LP - independent pressing, sold only at shows...), and that provided the 'centrepiece' of the show.
Yesterday, I finally dropped my long-suffering Thorens turntable off to The Record Centre to get tuned up, leaving me table-less until it's done. While there, one of the owners comes up and says: "You were looking for stuff from these guys right?" and hands me Ville Émard Blues Band's 'Minute! Ville Émard Blues Band s'en vient' - their first LP, independent pressing. Alas, with no turntable, I won't know what it really sounds like... until tonight on the Nightwatch! Also alas, no track listing comes with the LP, hence the 'Track 1', Track 2', etc., but I will play the record in it's entirety because of the rarity and it's esteemed legendary status in Quebec rock millieu...

Now into a couple of tracks from the Record-Con Records!
You Lied
Dillinger - Don't Lie to the Band Canadian
For Richard
Caravan - & The New Symphony
Also a Record-Con Record, but one that takes me back to my childhood - I owned it many, many years ago, then sold it... and more than 25 years later, I buy it back!
Birth
Focus - Hamburger Concerto
Flight Part 1; As Your Mind Flies By
Rare Bird - As Your Mind Flies By
The Rare Bird track was included because it was a recent acquisition... but just a regular purchase, not from the record-con. The next track was, tho', and one of the nicest finds - Franck Dervieux's 'Dimension 'M'', an early (and great) example of Quebecois jazz/prog.
Concerto Pour Des Mondes Disparus
Franck Dervieux - Dimension 'M' Canadian
Free-Form Funkified Filth
Carlos Santana and Buddy Miles - Live!
From the live guitar histrionics of Santana to some live precussion-heavy rhythm-jamming by Stomu Yamash'ta's 'Go', the record-con had it all!
Windspin
Stomu Yamash'ta's Go - Live
Bullfrog Dance
Maneige - Composite Canadian
Elementary Guitar Solo #5
Larry Coryell - Coryell
And that wraps it up for the Record-Con LPs... with the exception of Van Der Graaf Generator's 'Still Life', and I'll leave that for another day. Time to Finish up with some vintage Magma - it's a live recording, a little bootleg-sounding perhaps, but shows you how intense the band could be.
De Futura
Magma - Best on Tour 1976

Hey Dave, I have the VEBB. Scored it a bunch of years ago, my copy has a dedication to CBC Sounds Unlikely :). My copy has a pink insert, English on one side and French on the other. There should be 8 tracks, 4 per side: 1. Soumis - Octobre au mois de mai, 2. You And Your Mother, 3. Rawn's Blues, 4. Blow - Poiros Nevroses, 5. Konkey Donkey, 6. Ste-Melanie Blues, 7. Drums Solo, 8. Yama Nekh. As you may know some of these are Contraction / Toubabou songs and most made it onto the eventual VEBB double-album with some name changes. 18 musicians are credited and I think it's the same 18 as the double.
