The Wavelength
Monday March 25th, 2024 with Joe Reilly and John Allaire
John Allaire joins us to co-host this evening and to celebrate his upcoming 3,000th performance this Friday night at Irene's
John Allaire is in the house tonight. He's spinning lots of his own music and playing songs by artists that have influenced him over the years, and artists that he truly loves. This is all to help mark the upcoming milestone event at Irene's this Friday, March 29th when John will play his 3,000th concert. Wow! John tells us how he knows for certain that this is gig number 3,000, how much he's enjoyed playing on the scene since the mid-1980s and what to expect on Friday night at Irene's. His old friend and fellow musician (and Sirius NHL broadcaster!) Mick Kern joins us for part of the evening to reminisce about performing back in the day on the Ottawa scene and about his contribution to this big 3,000th gig celebration. It's a fun night of music. Thanks to John for selecting all the tunes and for coming in tonight.
