A super ambient start, an interview with Kyle of The Dirty Nil to turn it up a notch or three and then mostly some solid Canadian tunes, both old and new(ish)

Tonight we kick things off in a quiet mode with some beautiful ambient tracks, including the group Bang On A Can performing a piece from Brian Eno's seminal album Music For Airports. Then we talk to Kyle Fisher who is the drummer with The Dirty Nil. The group released a new album Free Rein To Passions back in May and is coming to Ottawa to perform this Friday, October 6 at the Bronson Centre. Kyle tells us about the true stories behind the song Stupid Jobs and how the sound of the band has evolved over four albums. We also talk about winning a Juno Award and if that had any impact on the band's journey and the incredible energy The Dirty Nil pours into every live gig they perform.
