Final Black History Month Episode - Great Funky and Soulful Vibes and some songs of peace for the Ukraine... and really the whole world. We need 'em.

In the final episode of the Wavelength for Black History Month, we explore some funky and soulful vibes. As part of the mix we include some great songs that speak against war and that call for peace in light of what is happening in the Ukraine. I also have some fun mixing in some critical songs from my past - some of the first songs by Black artists that caught my ear as a pre-teen and saved me from only owning a collection of vinyl by white rockers and pop stars. Some of these funky gems I bought as singles and even on 8-track... and are now available as digital downloads so I enjoy spinning them for you tonight with my silly back stories on getting exposed to some great Black music as a kid. Take care and stay well out there... and hope or pray or whatever it is you might do to help our world find a way to peace. It's kind of bleak right now. If you want to smile check out this version of Superstition that I mentioned on the show tonight.... it's Stevie Wonder playing it live on Sesame Street... it's amazing!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ul7X5js1vE
