Today Dave Alburger makes a welcome return to the Wavelength. He joins me (Joe Reilly) to talk about the great music we are playing for you tonight and to help inspire you to make a donation to keep CKCU-FM on the air for another year. It is our annual public funding drive and we need to raise $160,000 before the end of this week to keep the station on the air for another year. Every penny raised in our campaign - even though there are no more pennies in Canada : ( - goes towards our operating budget. CKCU-FM runs on a shoestring budget and we need your support, which makes up approximately 1/3 of our revenue, to pay the bills to keep broadcasting for another year. Hopefully you enjoy the mix tonight of local, independent, Indigenous, hard-to-find and ambient music. As well , we hope you will recognize that you will NOT hear a mix like this anywhere else and feel compelled to help us stay on the air so we can continue to bring you these kinds of musical mixes.
