Hour 1 has lots of great pop-rock and the Ring Shepherds. Hour 2 features some poignant songs about child abuse and the voice of Sinead O'Connor.

A couple of recent releases I'm pretty excited with show up again on the show tonight... beginning with my obsession with the album Habitual Orbits by the Ring Shepherds. I love mixing songs from this album with pop-rock gems and do so again tonight in Hour 1 of the show. Listening to that song recently made me think of Holly Cole's take on "I Don't Wanna Grow Up" and Lucy Dacus's poignant new song "Thumbs." I just finished reading Sinead O'Connor's memoir "Rememberings" and it chronicles her challenges around child abuse she suffered. She has many songs on this subject and I featured a couple as well as a touching song "Streetcars" that is as personal and vulnerable as O'Connor's memoir.
