Martin Luther King Day in the DisUnited States of America Today so in hour 1 we feature music that uses Dr. King's amazing "I Have a Dream" speech and hour 2 features the most recent album by Space Afrika

We open the show with almost a full hour of music that was inspired by and uses parts of Martin Luther King's stirring "I Have a Dream" speech. Today the DisUnited States of America are marking Martin Luther King day and on Wednesday they will be swearing in a new President, while giving the heave ho to Donald Trump. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Luther_King_Jr. In the second hour we continue with musical themes of Black culture and feature the entire album "hybtwibt?" by the Manchester duo Space Afrika. The title stands for: "Have you been through what I've been through?" Not unlike last week's feature of the music of Speaker Music, this release from 2020 is a dense and challenging collage of sound mixing together drone sounds, ambient textures, field recordings and noise. Give it a listen and check it out here on Bandcamp if you'd like to purchase it for whatever price you'd like to pay. https://space-afrika.bandcamp.com/ Thanks for listening and stay safe out there.
