It's time for another funding drive show here on The Wavelength. We check in with the other Wavelength producer, Dave Alburger at the start of the show. Dave has had a tough year and has not produced a program since the first week of January so it was great to have him on the airwaves with us tonight. He reminded me of the great song Wavelength by Van Morrison that I had somehow forgotten last week and he told us about a new recording by the Blue Oyster Cult that we played on the show - pretty solid for some classic rockers. After that it was more songs about the radio and then some beautiful, quiet, ambient soundtrack music inspired by the words of Bruce White of the Bytowne Cinema. Bruce worked at CKCU in the 1970s and he tells us that CKCU definitely helped him to formulate his approach to diverse film programming which has graced Ottawa for several decades at the Towne and Bytowne Cinemas.
