About Musk Ox:
Ottawa’s beloved chamber folk trio Musk Ox return with their first concert since 2020, performing their highly acclaimed third release Inheritance in its entirety alongside highlights from the band’s rich catalogue.
For over 15 years, Musk Ox have developed a glowing reputation for their acclaimed albums and captivating live performances, sharing stages with dark metal masters Agalloch on numerous tours as well as the celebrated Norwegian folk ensemble Wardruna at the legendary Wave-Gotik Treffen Festival in Leipzig, Germany. The band’s work has appeared on Exclaim, Pitchfork, The Strombo Show and several year-end lists including Sputnik Music and The Needle Drop.
With the release of their third full-length Inheritance, Musk Ox have reached new levels of expression. Further refining their singular blend of nature folk intimacy, classical precision, post-rock atmosphere and progressive metal intensity, Inheritance is a captivating and immersive instrumental ode to the past, present and future.
