Exploring Ottawa landscapes: Studied Tranquility, and the Kichi Sibi Trails initiative Part II

We'll chat about Studied Tranquility -- on at the Ottawa Art Gallery through the end of this weekend. Exhibit curator Siobhan Locke and participating artist Kat Jette join us to explore the idea of respite through the works of several local artists. More details here: https://oaggao.ca/whats-on/ In Part Two of our exploration of the Kichi Sibi Trails initiative, we'll speak with some of the individuals involved in bringing this project to life, the thinking behind the art and we'll start to talk about Chief Pinesi Day. Kichi Sibi Trails revitalizes indigenous trails and portages in eastern Ontario and West Quebec, and raises awareness of the deep history of Indigenous peoples, lands and waters in Algonquin Anishinaabe territory. Joining me in conversation are: Peter Stockdale, Doreen Stevens, Charlotte Stevens, Paul Johanis, and Derek Cushing. More info at: https://www.facebook.com/groups/509391810224582
