It’s Undercurrents season! Strata Inc. is an audio play, available on demand through the festival March 17-20. We’ll start by catching up with Megan Piercey Monafu, a special friend of the Friday Blend plus Creator and Director of Strata Inc. Megan is a writer, director, facilitator, and producer, who in 2018-2019 was a playwright-in-residence at the Great Canadian Theatre Company and in residence with undercurrents developing Strata Inc. Megan is the founder and artistic director of CSArt Ottawa, an art subscription connecting local artists and audiences. At undercurrents, Megan is also the dramaturg for No More Mr. Rice Guy. Suzanne is captivated by stories of women, war, food, survival, and what we make of it all. Her most recent project, The Taste of Longing, now available from Between the Lines, offers the first full biography of Canadian “force of nature” Ethel Mulvany, who while starving organized imaginary feasts at the infamous Changi Jail, Singapore during the Second World War.
