BEST OF #Asking For A Friend. Art, meet Dialogue.

Qu’ART - Ottawa Queer Arts Collective artist Nathan Hauch discusses his latest poem and video release, sway. Watch Nathan's film here: https://vimeo.com/452895034/ced74df69f Public art, and how it creates opportunities, spaces for dialogue, and building understanding. We'll chat with Hima Batavia of Artscape, facilitator Brendan A. de Montigny, Christina Ruddy, Nate Nettleton and Noah Scheinman about the Public Art Co-Design Residency. "One of the most important actions that artists can take in their practice is to look critically at the materiality their own concepts and to where the artwork will be exhibited, but then also think about it as being in play with, being a litmust test towards whatever is happening within our culture, whatever has happened in the past whatever might happen in the future. Part of the residency was to unpack all of that in very nuanced way to give the opportunity for eight talking heads on a Zoom call to be able to each have their time and space to be able to articulate those thoughts in a meaningful way."
