They Forgot That We Were Seeds: sharing a conversation featureing artists KC Adams, Cheyenne Sundance and Katherine Takpannie, curator Kosisochukwu Nnebe, and moderated by Rachelle Dickenson.
They Forgot That We Were Seeds is an ambitious and exciting group exhibition that brought together the work of Black and Indigenous women artists whose works touch on issues of land, migration and food justice and sovereignty.
Interwoven throughout the exhibition is an exploration of the kinds of relationships possible between Black and Indigenous women on this land.
KC Adams is a Cree, Ojibway and British artist and educator based in Winnipeg.
Rachelle Dickenson is an independent curator and scholar of British, Irish and Red River Métis ancestry.
Kosisochukwu Nnebe is a Nigerian-Canadian artist, curator and policy analyst based in Ottawa.
Cheyenne Sundance is the founder of Sundance Harvest, a food justice-centered urban farm located in Toronto.
Katherine Takpannie is an Ottawa-based Inuk photographer.
