Coco Love Alcorn - Joyful Canadian
Jessica Ruano and Amelia Griffin join us to talk about the Ghomeshi Effect. This original piece of choreographic dramaturgy is an unflinching look at the ripples set in motion by the accusations and acquittal of the former radio host. This piece of movement-theatre is based on dozens of interviews conducted by Ruano and features a six-person cast. In addition to the performances, there will be a series of talk-backs and pre-show events to further discussions about sexual violence in our society. Premiere is January 19, and the show runs at The Gladstone until January 28. There will be a single performance at the Shenkman Arts Centre on February 2.
