Christiane Parcigneau Christiane’s personal philosophy that “everyone can do yoga” is exemplified by her ability to self-empower participants to give themselves permission to explore yoga poses based on their abilities in the moment. In class, her primary focus is on maintaining sound body alignment and allowing gentle transitions between poses to ensure safety of the joints and spine, which support the body’s natural flow of movement. But don’t be fooled by her gentle and meditative approach! By providing optional modifications and variations for poses, Christiane creates a class environment where participants can find the level of support, gentleness or challenge they seek. After years of taking yoga classes and studying Reiki, energy-work, chakras and meditation, Christiane realized that she wanted to be of service to others and help them on their personal journey to wellness. In 2004, she became a Certified Reiki Master trained in the traditional Usui Shiki Ryoho Therapeutic Art of Reiki. Since then, she has provided personalized Reiki treatments to help people find a sense of balance and overall wellness. Her passion for yoga was so strong that she realized she had found her true calling. She left her successful career as an executive in the federal government to teach full time and nurture her soul’s passion. Participants who take her classes often comment on the power, depth and positivity of her nurturing energy.
