Hi Elorious. This is Raj. We have known each other for many years during which time my passion for late 1970s disco has been relentless. The artist that initiated my endless enthusiasm for disco was Donna Summer. Some 30 years ago I received Donna's "Bad Girls" album. That's what started it all. The music of Donna Summer captured my imagination like no other music. She was, is, and will always be my favourite artist. My intense love of the music of Alec R. Costandinos, Salsoul Records, Jacques Morali (along with others of the era).......all of this was due to Donna Summer. And so with her passing, I reflect back on a lifetime of music for which I am so very, very grateful. Words cannot describe my love, respect, and admiration of Donna Summer. Sincerely, Raj

I heard about Donna Summer before CNN or any major North American Media would spread the news. I got a automated sms first from the socialist french newspaper Liberation 20 minutes later Le Monde and Figaro where reporting this. Then 40 minutes later it was on Chanels like Euronews or BBC. Then 30 minutes later finally it was on CNN. I was chocked by this news. For her age she still looked 20 years younger. And I had no idea she was sick it must of been kept a secret. It happened so fast and so tragically. Apparently Donna thinks she might of got cancer because of air she inhaled from the post 9-11 attacks. To me her death was a huge deal more Then Michael Jackson, or even James Brown. She was and still is my favorite singer and vocalist of all time. A voice of silk so pure so heavenly. I also wish to share with everyone the comment I wrote on my facebook wall the second I heard about her death " DONNA SUMMER Your Love will always be felt, and may your voice last for ever deep in the grooves of your singles..... I have the Bad Girls double album, Greatest Hits double album and the MacArthur Park 12 inch promo on vinyl. Very sad day for disco fans, but her music will live on forever. May she rest in peace and by now is performing on that big stage in the sky.

I loved your show about Donna Summer. Something magical about hearing her voice again. You only had 2hours, might have played more stuff from her albums after love trilogy and before badgirls. I think you aced it all the same.
