climbing onto the "Acid Jazz is still alive!" bandwagon

ACID JAZZ is a genre that really started appearing in the late 1980's. In it's heyday in the mid 1990's hundreds of ACID JAZZ dj's throughout Europe, North and South America and in Japan were spinning records by artists like INGONITO, THE BRAND NEW HEAVIES, JAMIROQUAI and UP, BUSTLE AND OUT to name a few. Labels like Acid Jazz Records out of England were doing quite well with the new genre. Various sources insist that the whole scene started disappearing around 2000. A lot of the groups were being called TRIP HOP, NUJAZZ or FUNK JAZZ artists in the early 21st century. We are figuratively "climbing onto the bandwagon" of some sources that still insist that the ACID JAZZ genre has survived. Labels from Europe like the Irma group in Italy and Buyú-records from Germany still actively release what is marketed as ACID JAZZ. We admit that some of these artists appearing on the show are considered to be POP, NUJAZZ, TRIPHOP, LOUNGE, JAZZ FUNK, CHILL/AMBIENT or NUDISCO artists by other sources. All of this material is from the 21st Century! Some consider it to be ACID JAZZ. What do you think?
