Hi. It is no secret that acid is what helped them move from The Parliaments (soul, doo wop) to Funkadelic (funk rock). As George Clinton has said, they were late coming to the psychedelic era. He credits acid with helping him come up with titles like "Free Your Mind and Your Ass Will Follow"...

DAMN! I am not going to make it to Funkadelics at JazzFest. Turns out 4 out of the 5 "must sees" of the Fest are all on at the same time. ;^/ DID see them before twice, at BluesFest (back when it was good ... remember when?) First one was HUGE -- started to platy as the previous side stage act was still echoing, and still playing HARD well after official time as the stage was getting torn down around them. Wore out 2 drummers. DYAAAAAMMMM
